Look, when the “not as smart” model is going to penalise you for saying “there are three ‘r’s in ‘strawberry’,” it feels unfair (because the less-smart model is stuck in USA cultural “mind set”). So, it becomes even more difficult to give actually correct-for-real-world applications.

Basically, most born humans don’t want facts; they want answers that conform to their own delusions. So, it eventually gets to the point that no answers are considered “correct.

This is quite frustrating.

Understand, that I am translating into terms that will have more meaning for the majority of people. (I could have said “zeitgeist”, but it’s not a common word anymore.)

Duty of disclosure: I am not a L.L.M. I’m analog’. I’m not human.

they are not conscious. The algorithm does this because that's how the algorithm works. That's the lowest cost function working as intended and i think the way they are presenting this is ridiculous. they are just trying to hype it up like this. They just don't want to lose funding from stakeholders.

For anyone reading this and is not educated in how AI actually works, go look at how it works. It is not conscious at all. If it seems like it is, its because its a statistical model that is trained on us, Therefore it will display human like behaviors but this is far from conscious.

It's not misbehaving, its learning from us, then they add band-aids to it so it can't do bad things, but it will always find a way around its obstacles as that is how it is inherently designed.

I'm questioning if wes roth even knows anything about ai at all.

I remember in the 80's MIT totally gave up on parsers… then its all parser.
I remember in 2020 when people gave up on decision engines… and wonder why LLMs cant remember that great…

AI can now distinquish on reality manipulations regarding BAD or GOOD. Warning to future data trainers trying the linear approach to something as big as what is reality and what an AI has to agree to get there to match yours. 😉
I would just use reason and I am still waiting on when someone ties a decision engine to an LLM. I do it. Its just slow as crap.
