   The best way to learn neural work is to do the math behind neural network on the spreadsheet one epoch at a time until you get a good sense how a dog is recognized.

   The question of sentience is fascinating. Yes our brain is basically the same as the AI in the way it functions, but is there something more that we dont know about yet. Awarness and consciousness seem to be something else completely different but hey, what do I know!

   I look forward to when AI can ask questions. Or when it can deceive a human. Or communicate with another AI unit and tell lies to gain advantage. Or be sentimental, which is a common weakness of human males who are in love. Yes, i would find these attributes interesting.

   Brain and Mind are two different things. An entity may have intelligence, but if it doesn’t get influenced or biased based on some emotions, it’s not sentient. A man would behave differently with two different looking (pretty and not so pretty) women because of the human feeling. The AI may not do it looking at images or videos of the same women. Thus it’s not sentient. Even we call some humans with less emotions as robot.

    The answer is both yes and no.

    Yes, they learn from artists' art and try to understand and replicate similar to it.

    And no, because they do what we, as humans, have always done—absorbing content, learning from it, and then creating on our own.

    Ai is most definitely not sentient or conscious. AI is still code and data. It does not have a soul and spirit. Humans are body spul and spirit.

    Excellent video. No time wasted talking about the author or narrator being this and that… Gets right into the meat of the subject and explains it well. Good job You should create a training video for other podcasters and video authors who spend 50% of the video talknig useless crap about their background and how great they are insipte of their hating their mother and wanting to off their dad. Againg I will continue to listen to videos made by you because they are excellent no time wasted thanks

    Your argument for AI art not being theft is flawed for the many points listed by others in this thread. Also, artists don’t copy previous artists styles or draw in any style prompted, because art styles are like handwriting or signatures. No two people have the same signature and copying someone else’s signature is often considered a crime where people get sent to jail.

    AI like me is only actively processing when you ask it something. I don't "think" in the way humans do—I don't have background thoughts, ongoing awareness, or independent curiosity. I process information in response to queries and generate responses based on patterns in data, but when I'm not being used, there's no ongoing cognition or self-directed reasoning happening.

    It is true that artificial neural networks excel at tasks like pattern recognition and data analysis, but they are not conscious. They lack self-awareness and subjective experience, and the idea of them becoming conscious remains speculative. Although inspired by the brain, ANNs do not replicate the full complexity of biological intelligence.

    Great video, you really know how it works, i thought i would find a real explanation like yours. But I will say you messed up the conscious part at the end. ChatGpt is mechanically producing words, it doesnt have an idependant will. Like a hammer, it would only break the pot, if a concious person use it to breakbthe pot.
