메타와 아마존 같은 미국 빅테크 기업을 속여서 면접에 붙은 한국계 미국 대학생이 있습니다. 면접에서 자신이 개발한, 부정행위를 돕는 AI를 쓴 건데요.
이 괴짜 청년을 홍영재 기자가 인터뷰했습니다.

미국 아마존의 개발자 인턴 면접 장면을 녹화하는 이 사람, 컬럼비아 대학생이었던 로이 리입니다.
면접관이 코딩 문제를 내자 곧 능숙하게 풀어냅니다.
[로이 리 : (1단계와 2단계를 더 단순화할 수 있을까요?) 1단계 삽입 로직은 이렇게….]
코딩 문제를 풀어내는 면접 화면 옆에는, 면접관에게는 보이지 않는 작은 창이 떠 있습니다.
로이 리가 직접 개발한 부정행위 AI 프로그램이 정답을 몰래 알려주고 있는 것입니다.
[로이 리 : 사실 제가 방금까지 ‘인터뷰 코더’에서 보여준 코드를 그대로 복사해서 붙여 넣으면서 면접을 봤어요. 느낌상 합격할 것 같긴 한데 합격하면 돌아올게요.]
로이 리는 이런 식으로 메타와 틱톡 인턴에도 합격했고, 이 과정을 공개한 영상이 테크 업계에 윤리적 논란을 일으키며 결국 대학에서 퇴학당했습니다.
인터뷰에 응한 로이 리는 코딩을 직접 풀게 하는 빅테크 면접 방식에 반기를 들고 싶었다고 말했습니다.
[로이 리 : AI가 모든 리트코드(코딩) 문제를 다 그냥 뭐 1초 안에 풀 수 있는데, 이걸 공부하는 이유가 원래는 없었어요.]
AI 활용을 상수로 놓고 실제 업무 환경을 고려한 새로운 평가 방식이 필요하다고 주장했습니다.
[로이 리 : 면접은 실제 업무에서 하게 될 일을 기준으로 진행돼야 하고, 업무 중 사용할 수 있는 AI 도구라면 면접에서도 당연히 쓸 수 있어야 합니다.]
그는 퇴학 후 이 프로그램을 활용한 스타트업을 창업했고, 530만 달러, 약 75억 원의 투자를 유치했습니다.
회사의 슬로건은 ‘모든 걸 속여라’입니다.
로이 리 사건은 AI가 현재의 평가와 선발 시스템을 무력화한다는 걸 보여줬습니다.
또, AI가 인간의 지적 노동을 상당 부분 대체한다면 인간에게 필요한 역량을 무엇인지, AI 활용의 윤리적 경계는 어디인지, AI가 함께할 미래에 대해 많은 고민거리를 던졌습니다.
[로이 리 : 2년쯤 지나면 사람들이 알게 될 거예요. 이게 업계를 바꾼 긍정적인 전환점이었다는 걸요.]

i really like New OS, but unfortunately its not possible to install because of work. My applications such as Adobe suites are natively made for x86-64 architecture first then they are ported to other programs such as for mac or Snapdragon based which emulates them. nothing can beat those software performance on native builds. If i choose harmony OS and there is no apps for work then what will be use? To watch movie or listen song which i can do on smartphone or tablet too? so innovation is good in smartphone or tablet but Windows cant be beaten from market. Even today, major pc games are built for PC (windows) but they even dont support mac which is OS for riches who loves the logo more than understanding benchmarks, demands of work and software.

Huawei's products are high-end, and costly. So it attracts a small affluent class to have them. I think the cost should be reasonable for middle class, and more and more of its products should be pushed to people. BRICKS platform may be used to access market in Russia, Africa, and India etc. Once people come to know its benefits, they will accept it.
