NASA and billionaire Elon Musk’s SpaceX on Friday (local time) launched a fresh crew to the International Space Station (ISS), paving the way for stranded astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore to return home after nine long months. The Falcon 9 rocket, carrying a Dragon spacecraft on the Crew-10 mission, lifted off from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center at 4:33 am (IST) after a brief delay on Thursday.
The crew of four astronauts include – Anne McClain and Nichole Ayers, JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) astronaut Takuya Onishi, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Kirill Peskov.

With the 2013 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas now well behind us, smart investors are already thinking about what we may see at next year’s show. Rex Moore was able to chat with consumer technology expert Rob Pegoraro about his vision for the future.
Rob says the success or failure of Microsoft’s (Nasdaq: MSFT) Windows 8 operating system hangs in the balance.
Perhaps the most interesting concept to watch is what Rob calls television’s “second digital transition,” where your TV will also double as a web media receiver. Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) TV, coming soon to a living room near you, is a prime example as the industry starts seeing the web as one more service your television must have, possibly replacing cable or satellite.

In the mid-1980s, we had rule-based Blackboard Systems, which sound like Agentic AI. I predict the next AI / ML mission will be to have a LLM that can inspect the parameters of another LLM and interpret these. I think this will enable symbolic reasoning.

We already face problems with apathy, poor service, and a general lack of care for one another. It feels as though we're moving further away from empathy and human connection, and that’s something I find deeply troubling. The rise of mass-produced AI content only seems to contribute to this cycle of mediocrity and unchecked capitalism. It’s important to recognize that behind these systems are people who care little about our well-being—they are solely focused on profits….

Thanks for explaining something so complex without making it too intimidating. Agentic AI feels like it's leading the path right now considering it's only January and it's already breaking boundaries and beyond. I even read on this one agentic AI (work beaver AI) where you can teach it to do tasks for you through demonstrating it and showing it as if you're teaching somebody, it then runs on the desktop rather than just browser which is common for most AI agents. It's worth checking out. Have you encountered or tried anything similar?

Not ai itself per se, but the driving force behind ai (human input) will be the largest influence over ai for 2025, the general publics awareness & desire to understand may well drive ai advancement faster than ever before, the gathering of human intelligence directed at developing ai will increase, many times over, it feels like another computer generation is waiting to happen..

I think the trend will be "personalizing our own environment". For example I could have glasses or contacts that could turn the lights down in the room, but only I perceive it that way because of the AI glasses. The lights looks the same to everyone else in the room, because they don't actually dim. We could also play a song that no-one else can hear, change the outfit of one friend in the room because what they have on looks ridiculous, but nothing has changed for that friend. This will be possible because the internet will be pretty much like the air, all around us and able to be accessed from anywhere. We will have something akin to NFT contracts with all of our information stored there like identification, currency, passwords, etc, and our own special code, like a social security number, except it will be more like a one of a kind frequency or energy pattern, from a wearable or implant, and even have our own bandwidth. It is seriously possible, that is how fast AI is moving. Robotics, nanotech, and even DNA mapping. Strange but true.
