   Michael, I never, I an Epoch, thought I would say this of you, I do mean N E V E R, for the the first time, I found an episode, that I presume you authored, was rife with technologies that will soon, or have already reached their logical limit; or worse require a significant Evolutionary leap, ostensibly and by definition must transcend what and how they currently function.

   As far as biometrics, in the vein of “Minority Report”, that completely rob us as U.S. Citizens of ANY SEMBLANCE of Privacy. The Right to Privacy we currently enjoy enjoy under the U.S. Constitution. Think about the uproar Alexa is facing as it turns itself on every ~ 75 seconds, for various amounts of time, the Arizona call center which monitors said called boom: you then re dive unsolicited ads.

   Personally, I constructed a Faraday cage.

   Your suggestion of cloud based Medical Bios is unrealistic as well. It flies in the face of HIPPA.

    As an identical twin facial recognition doesn’t work. My phone recognizes my sister as me and she can unlock my phone! On the other hand even identical twins have different finger prints. Finger prints is more secure!

    Either nobody notices, or simply nobody cares that 1984 came true. They know you habits and activities, they know your face and voice, they know what you do every minute of the day and try and guide you how they best see fit.
    And believe, they are not looking out for your best interest, they want you distracted and complacent. You are to conform to the crowd and not ask questions. Big Brother is always watching…

    These wonderful, innovative advances in technology are all well and good, until when & if there is a massive coronal mass ejection from our sun aimed directly at us. We won't be able to access our money, pay our bills and a myriad of other situations that would bring our society to a complete standstill. I think a fail-safe of some sort should be put in place, so the world doesn't completely fall apart.

    Internet should have just been for YouTube and the likes of Google for answers etc. Personally I think social media ie. where your making "friends" that ruined society same if they bring in this cashless society that all the sheep 🐑 are following like lemmings 🤷‍♂️ great list again guys 👍👍👍

    Nice to see they are openly admitting to spying on us considering it was a conspiracy theory for years. ''Data collection'' Yeah. Big Toys has been doing that one for years, now everyone is doing it. I love it when they say marketing and data thing. They record us, spy on us and monitor everything and not once will it ever benefit the regular joes. All info is going to Iron Mountain. I am not sure what is going on, or how deep this iceberg is, but it is pretty wild. If they was doing it for our good and benefit, then a lot would have changed by now.

    So happy you’re back! You look great! Although, something that hasn’t changed, are YOUR biometrics (just needed the segue)…
    23 & 17 (Biometrics & Facial Recognition): I really liked today’s list, but just wanted to point out that Facial Recognition is one of the several diff. types of Biometrics. Like you said, b/c biometrics are a form of identification that is biologically unique to each person, there are currently 5 diff. types of biometrics that are commonly in use today + a few recent additions most people may not have heard of, which include:
    1. Fingerprints & finger geometry (size & positioning)
    2. Facial Recognition
    3. Iris & Retina Scanning
    4. Voice Recognition
    5. DNA Mapping
    6. Vein Recognition (size, mapping, & positioning)
    7. Dental Recognition
    8. Surgical Implants
    9. Digital Signatures

    Most people don’t realize it, but our personal Signature was the first form “Biometric” identification ever used. Modern digital programs use algorithms when scanning signatures, which make them much more difficult to fake.
    It’s likely that most people have heard of dental recognition on tv, namely murder mystery shows to ID a body; but w/ X-ray tech. becoming more common, a persons teeth can be scanned quickly & compared to records on file.
    When it comes to Surgical Implants, you might say “Wait, how can an inorganic metal/plastic implant be used as a biological form of ID?” Well, each & every surgical implant carries it’s own unique serial #, that can be tracked by the individuals medical record. As both x-ray & RFID technology advances, implants can be detected/scanned quickly/non-invasively & verified to belong to only that person. Some people have already taken this a step further & have developed tiny RFID chips as small as a grain of rice, that are implanted around the hand; to be used specifically as ID to unlock doors to their home or car, etc… (think back to the movie ‘Demolition Man’).
